GPOYW: Today’s ridic jersey to mitt sunburn
Mike Tag passed away today after a long battle with cancer
Tag was very inspirational to me and my mates in the early sunderland riding days. I met Tag when i was 20 in a bar in Hastings. A little bit star struck i had no idea how to approach him. I remembered that i had a Misfits Legacy of Brutality patch that i had been carrying around in my wallet for over a year? I walked up to him and gave it to him. He seemed quite pleased with my offering. It did not break the ice enough though and i bottled any kind of conversation and just walked off.
Id watch videos starring Tag after our brief meeting hoping to see the patch sewn onto his cap or jeans pocket. I never spotted it.
I must do a decent rail or ledge this summer in his memory
Rest in peace
Was browsing bings 3d maps for street and had a cheeky scroll over to the original wastemanz to reminisce. Shame that bloody puddle wiped out the ‘F’ or bing got the flick processed a little earlier. Anyway almost a boon shot. NSF till death…
It’s good to see James doing some of his own projects
This turned out really good
After 14 months, I’ve finally finished this short video which I’ve named Over & Over. The idea behind it was to film brief moments of my life for at least a year to highlight both the variety and repetitiveness of a person’s everyday routine. The video was shot between the dates of 9th Jan 2011 and 26th March 2012 and cut in chronological order.
Over & Over was shot during numerous visits to various locations in:
London, Hastings, Eastbourne, Liverpool, Huntington Beach, Long Beach, Paris, Brighton, Berlin, Bexhill-On-Sea, Fareham, Portsmouth, Stockholm, Las Vegas, Lisboa, Malaga, Madrid, Barcelona, Herstmonceux and Newcastle-Upon Tyne, and in transit whilst using various railway networks, roads and airports. It features almost everyone who’s important to me.
An interview with Brendan Perry from Dead can Dance in 1994
Brendan Perry shows us his home/studio and talks about his own views on religion and concern for the power of worthless materialism. A form of slavery, that in his eyes, is becoming more and more powerful.
‘the biggest religion is the religion of materialism, capitalism is the one that could be the doomsday machine, in itself, the one we really have to look out for’
